AISIN’s advanced technology expedites development of next generation personalized mobility services

AISIN Corporation, consistently ranked as a top 10, Tier One global automotive supplier, recently announced a partnership between its Connected and Sharing Solutions Division and the MUTUALISM platform, an ecosystem of state-of-the-art technologies and services that work together to build a safe and superior In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI)  experience. AISIN will introduce its new Location-Based Services Software Development Kit (LBS-SDK) to the platform as part of its software-first initiative.

While mostly known for parts under the hood, AISIN was the first supplier to create in-vehicle navigation systems and has led the market over the last four decades as navigation has evolved from early embedded systems to vehicle-first hybrid systems. In 2021, AISIN launched a fully integrated cloud- based navigation system and now the LBS-SDK will join the vast lineup of parts and technologies that redefine the future of mobility.

Mutualism Platform

MUTUALISM seeks to deliver a state-of-the-art in-vehicle experience by offering an intelligent user interface to consumers while providing automakers an open platform that promotes fluid integration for new services and experiences. The MUTUALISM project currently features eight major corporate partners whose participation exemplifies the ease of integration of multiple distinct services and features. AISIN is pleased to join these technology partners and proud to present its LBS-SDK in such a cutting-edge experience.

“We are honored to join the MUTUALISM alliance and add our state-of-the-art LBS-SDK to the list of innovative companies that support this initiative,” said Kevin Smith, senior manager, Business Design, at AISIN Technical Center of America. “Our participation in this initiative allows us to continue to showcase AISIN’s wide variety of CASE solutions and demonstrate our personal and corporate commitment to developing new and innovative solutions for our OEM customers.”

“I am excited to welcome AISIN as a partner to the MUTUALISM intelligent cockpit alliance,” said Ron DiCarlantonio of iNAGO Corp., which is leading the MUTUALISM initiative. “While MUTUALISM enables collaboration, innovative partners such as AISIN provide advanced technology in an open, standard package, allowing for faster and easier development of next generation personalized mobility services.”
